Indian Buddhist Community
Indian Buddhist Community (IBC) is a not-for-profit organisation based on Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s philosophy and Buddha’s teachings of humanity, equality and peace. The community primarily works to bring together Buddhist Expats from Indian origin who are living in Australia.
Devoted to value creation through Social, Peace, Harmony, Culture and Education based on the life affirming Buddhist philosophy of Dr. B R Ambedkar.
IBC is incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (the Act)
Our Vision
- To bring together all Buddhists from Indian origin, living in Australia and create a harmonious community based on Buddha’s teachings of Humanity
- To promote core Buddhism values of wisdom, kindness, patience, generosity and compassion
- Propagate Dr. B. R Ambedkar’s philosophy of equality and justice
- To empower people and communities to grow and celebrate diversity, to be safe and connected irrespective of race, religion, origin, age, gender, language, or faith
- Continual engagement of kids to learn, practice and participate in Buddhism and it’s humanity based teachings
Our Mission
- To work towards building Indian Buddhist Community Centre in Australia which would be based on universal values of the great spiritual and social reformers from India – Siddharth Gautama, King Ashoka, Dr. B. R Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Shri Guru Ravidas, and other social reformers
- Organise regular Buddhist Meditation & Spiritual events for physical and mental wellbeing of the people
- Provide a professional assistance and career guidance to the international students arriving in Australia
- To extend support to the underprivileged individuals, families and societies in India and give them a platform to achieve a sustainable growth
